Our new clinic procedures (Coles notes version of our Plan to Return)

Here are the protocols that will now be occurring at the clinic:  If you feel concerned at any time you are free to end the session and leave.

  1. The day before your appointment we will be contacting you to ask about symptoms of COVID-19, and we will be asking you again the day you come in for your appointment. (The staff also have to self-screen for the same symptoms every day) Please take the self assessment test the day before and day of your appointment at: https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en
  2. You understand that the treatment will be cancelled immediately if you do not meet the prescreening criteria upon presentation at the clinic.
  3. Late cancellation fees will be waived for any COVID-19 symptoms, cold symptoms, and flu symptoms- DO NOT COME INTO THE CLINIC.
  4. A consent form will be discussed and signed durning your appointment about the possibilities of contracting COVID-19. There is a copy under the COVID-19 tab so you can read it and think about it before your treatment.
  5. There is a clear plastic bin with a lid in each room to put your clothes in. The bin will be sanitized after each use.
  6. Tissues will be given to you in case you need to rub your face, sneeze or cough into, then put them in the garbage. Please bring a new unused mask to your appointment, if you don't have a mask one will be given at a cost of $1.00 + tax
  7. While not mandatory the therapist will be wearing either a face shield or mask during the treatment. A new mask will be used with each patient.
  8. Treatment rooms will be sanitized between appointments; the bathroom, hallway sink, and all door knobs will be sanitized regularly throughout the day.
  9. Please go to the bathroom before you leave your house, we are wanting to reduce the need for patients to use our bathroom. The bathroom can be used when necessary.
  10. We will ask that you wait in your car till we text or wave you in; the clinic door will be locked during treatments.
  11. Once entering the clinic, your temperature will be taken by your therapist with a thermal heat gun (no  physical contact) and recorded and then you must wash your hands at the back sink.
  12. Only minors or patients that require help will be allowed to have someone accompany them into the clinic.
  13. All payments (no cash or cheques) and rebooking of appointments must be done in the treatment rooms.
  14. When your treatment is done and you are ready to open the door please use a tissue.
  15. All receipts will be emailed to you.
  16. To have one-way flow of people through the clinic, patients will be asked to leave by the back door of the clinic. Unless physical limitations cannot allow for this i.e. wheelchairs, age, major health issues.  We will make sure that you can leave the clinic safely through the front door.  The back door does have steps so please let us know if you will not be able to leave by the back door.
  17. The clinic has cleaning supplies that are COVID-19 approved by the health ministry in every room, reception area and bathroom. The staff will be using them after every appointment and throughout the day.
  18. At  this time only service dogs will be allowed into the clinic

I know this sounds like a lot but these measures are in place to keep everyone healthy! I understand that some people will want to just get to the treatment but we have to screen every patient that enters our clinic. This is non-negotiable, and any non-compliance will result in immediate termination of the session.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact us by email or phone and we will get back to you.
